There are many different types of physical punishment used to enforce discipline. It is done deliberately (with full consent) and can cause pain. Physical punishment is usually connected with breaking a very important rule and is not something done without justification.

A few examples are:

Whipping
Flogging

Nipple Clamps
Clothes Pegs
Physical Restraint

Punishment is seen as being a ritual and has specific guidelines about how it is supposed to be carried out. A dominant knows what he/she will punish the subordinate with depending on what situation they are in and what the infraction was.
