Safety can be a major concern with the fetishes involved in this type of play. Often use of a safeword is implemented. The words “no” and “stop” are not used as safe words considering that they are normally part of a scene. A safe word would be something abnormal like “red light” or a random word chosen that is agreed upon before the session. Care should be taken in any BDSM scenario depending on what tool is being used in a scene. Having some kind of training in first aid could prove useful just in case.
