Definition

A strap-on is a device designed to be worn by one person and used to penetrate another. Strap-ons are most commonly worn by women either to fuck their male partners anally or to fuck other women vaginally and/or anally. In the case of males, strap-ons are used to resolve erectile dysfunction, to engage in double penetration or to penetrate multiple partners. Fellatio is another way in which women use strap-ons. While the most common type or strap-on is the one that straps around the waist there are many different kinds with various types of attachments and ways to please both the person it’s used on and the wearer.

A strap-on is like any other toy that is used to penetrate sexually and as such should also be cleaned and maintained regularly.

History

Strap ons have been around as long as dildos, which is since the beginning of time. A 19th century Chinese painting depicts a woman using a dildo strapped to her shoe. The Kama Sutra mentions dildos used with ties or in a harness. This shows that the history of the strap-on is just as long as that of the dildo.
